Tray

The pass window

A marble of liquid metal sits in a steel tray on a tilted counter. Tip one way and it runs all the way to the low edge - nothing stops it but iron ribs, cushions and the rim.

Order of service

• Brass cups are collectors. Hit them in the numbered order.
• Rolling past a later cup leaves it where it is - plan the route.
• Par is the proven minimum number of tilts for that tray.

Kitchen kit

• Brake pad - stops the marble where it lands, then wears out.
• Switch lever - touching it raises or lowers the cushions of its colour, from the next tilt onward.
• Cushion - a raised bumper the marble cannot pass.
• Oil ring - one square of momentum; with momentum left a brake pad will not hold.

Scoring

Par = 3 plates. Par + 2 = 2 plates. Anything else = 1 plate. Tokens pay for hints, never for entry.
